BP reported an underlying replacement cost profit of $8.6 billion for the third quarter of 2026, according to Oilprice.com. This result marks a strong financial performance for the supermajor, nearly quadrupling its profit compared to the third quarter of 2025.
The company’s earnings surpassed analyst estimates of $7.3 billion and reflected a $2.7 billion increase over the second quarter of 2026, reported Oilprice.com. The supermajor attributed the substantial growth to robust refining margins and strong performance within its oil and gas trading segments.
These results align with expectations of ongoing commodity price pressure. According to Oilprice.com, bank ANZ has raised its year-end Brent crude price forecast to $105 per barrel. The bank’s projection assumes that current constraints affecting Middle Eastern oil exports, global shipping availability, and refined-product markets will persist throughout December without needing further geopolitical shocks.
