Norwegian energy major Equinor reported a substantial increase in its third-quarter financial performance, with adjusted net income reaching $2.86 billion, according to Oilprice.com. This result represents a tripling of the company’s profit compared to the $932 million recorded during the same period one year earlier. The energy firm attributed these financial gains to a combination of strong refining margins, increased hydrocarbon production levels, and sustained high oil and natural gas prices.
According to the official report, Equinor’s total oil and gas production grew by 2% on a year-over-year basis, reaching 2.166 million barrels of oil equivalent per day. These production figures reflect a period of elevated operational output and market demand during the third quarter.
These quarterly results highlight the impact of favorable commodity pricing and steady production growth for large-scale energy operators. By capitalizing on realized European prices, the firm maintained strong profitability, marking a distinct improvement in financial outcomes for the reported timeframe.
